A message from Albert Butler

My name is Albert Butler, and I am the Mississippi State Senator for District 37. I humbly request your support as I announce my re-election campaign.

You may remember that this area was previously known as District 36. Due to the 2020 census, our district has been designated as District 37, including areas of Adams, Claiborne, Copiah, Franklin, Jefferson, and western Hinds Counties.

We have accomplished a great deal, and more must be done.

We now have a new Mississippi state flag. Our teachers have received pay raises. We have established a lottery system, extended postpartum Medicaid benefits for mothers on Medicaid to 12 months instead of two months, secured funding for upgrades to our rural water systems, road and bridge placements, funding for fire protection, and additional funding for our PK12 Education and higher learning institutions.

My objective as your Senator has always been to serve as a voice for the communities of Southwest Mississippi. My focus continues to be on sponsoring and co-sponsoring legislation for public education, criminal justice, infrastructure, tourism, and healthcare.

Serving in the Senate for several years has allowed me to build relationships that will drive our communities forward. I ask that you re-elect me as the Senator of District 37 so that I can continue to work for change.

I am committed to the vision for a progressive District 37. On August 8th, 2023, I ask you to vote for me, Albert Butler. Let’s continue to break barriers and build a future – together.
